Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Ignite Ministries based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY BIBLE – both Old and New Testaments as the inerrant Word of God. We believe the Bible to be God’s Word spoken to mankind by the Holy Spirit. (II Peter 1:21)
WE BELIEVE IN THE TRIUNE NATURE OF GOD -- i.e., the union of three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
WE BELIEVE THAT SALVATION IS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
(Acts 10:9-10)
WE BELIEVE THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT INDWELLS US—The Holy Spirit empowers us to live above reproach. We refer to this empowerment as sanctification. (St. John 16:13-15)
WE BELIEVE THAT THE CHURCH SHOULD BE A MANIFESTATION OF THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Gal 5:22-23a)
WE BELIEVE THAT THE CHURCH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST of which He is the head. (Eph. 1:22, 23) Members are united one with the other, and to Christ by the baptizing work of the Holy Spirit. (1 Cor. 12:12,13)
WE BELIEVE THAT HEAVEN IS THE ETERNAL HOME FOR THE REDEEMED. It is where God lives. It is a place prepared for the redeemed.
